Our Directors and experienced consultants deliver a range of interactive workshops designed to strengthen knowledge, develop confidence and support managers and staff teams to translate regulation and guidance into everyday practice.

Our workshops include

• Regulation 44 – Understanding the Role of the Independent Visitor
  Understanding the purpose of Regulation 44, what the Independent Person should be looking for, how visits are conducted, evidence and consultation, recommendations and how homes can use Regulation 44 positively to drive continuous improvement.
• Regulation 45 – Quality of Care Review
  Supporting managers and Responsible Individuals to understand the Regulation 45 review process, effective monitoring, consultation, analysis of patterns and trends, evidencing impact and using the review to inform service development.
• Preparing for a Two-Day Ofsted Inspection
  Helping managers and teams understand what to expect during inspection, how to prepare effectively, what inspectors may explore, showcasing evidence and ensuring staff understand their role and can confidently talk about the children they support.
• Striving for Outstanding
  Exploring the difference between compliance and high-quality practice, understanding what strong evidence looks like and helping teams demonstrate the impact their care, leadership and practice have on children’s experiences and progress.
• Regulation 40 – Serious Event Notifications
  Developing confidence around identifying notifiable events, decision-making, recording rationale, the quality and timeliness of notifications, management oversight and demonstrating learning following significant events.
• Professional Boundaries in Residential Childcare
  Exploring healthy professional relationships, maintaining appropriate boundaries, social media and communication, confidentiality, gifts, favouritism, professional curiosity and recognising when boundaries may begin to become blurred.
• Strengthening Missing-from-Home Practice
  Looking beyond the incident itself to strengthen prevention, individual risk assessment, missing protocols, staff responses, return-home information, professional liaison, patterns and trends, management oversight and learning from episodes.
• Team Culture – Creating a Positive and Reflective Staff Team
  Exploring how culture affects children, staff and the wider home. This workshop considers professional challenge, accountability, communication, consistency, reflective practice, leadership visibility and creating a culture where staff feel able to speak up and learn.

Bespoke workshops

Not every home, team or organisation has the same development needs.

We can work with providers to develop bespoke workshops tailored to your service, including sessions following inspection findings, Regulation 44 themes, internal audits, significant incidents, changes within a staff or management team, or identified areas for development.

Sessions can be delivered to Registered Managers, Responsible Individuals, deputies, senior staff, wider staff teams or provider groups, with content adapted to the experience and needs of those attending. Delivery can be via teams or face to face
